Create a new image of about 600×400 pixels. Select any color from the front, in this case the RGB ( 26,175,75 ). In a new layer, use the Text tool (T key) to enter any text. We fill it with the foreground color and we enlarged to fill most of the image size (The larger, better get the effect).

How to: Create a newspaper effect on Photoshop?

And by this I do not mean an effect we do every day This effect has some uses, such  this can be used as   any cover of a newspaper, or to say that the image obtained by Fax I .will explain on  how to do it in few steps.

How to: Create a newspaper effect on Photoshop?

Step 1.

Newsprint Effect 206x300

Open the original image, whatever it is on the left.

We select all (CTRL + A) and copy (CTRL + C). Create a new document (CTRL + N) and if all goes well, the measures should be the same as the original document. At this time you need to write them down then paste the clipboard contents back into the new image (CTRL + V).

Step 2.

Newsprint Effect1 206x300

We will not use the original file, so we can close it. Then, copy, convert it to grayscale (Image> Mode> Grayscale ) If we use that effect it would look really good, we have to temporarily enlarge this image. Image> Size and we add the value of width about 500 pixels  Before we have to look good see that we check  the box that says Constrain Proportions, so the height value is automatically set.

We can also use this step to modify a bit the brightness and contrast of the image to highlight a few more targets and black image respectively.

Step 3

Newsprint Effect2 206x300

Apply the filter Filter> Pixelate> Color Halftone. We see in the properties window of the folder that the default is 8 pixels

But this value is very high for the effect you want to make. Then lower the value to the smallest possible and see that we can download it

It is for this reason that we had to enlarge the image in the 2nd step, since the value of 4 pixels is too much for a normal image size.

Apply the effect and return to give the image the size you originally had.

Then we can click on the Quick Mask button or press the Q key. We chose the default colors (D key) and then take the gradient tool and apply it from left to right. As we are in quick mask mode, the white color will be transparent and the black color will be red. While it looks redder image, the less you see the other image through the first.

Step 4 We return to normal mode and see a selection box that covers about half of the image. Now simply paste the first image using Edit/Paste In to (SHIFT + CTRL + V). By doing this the first image is pasted onto the first producing the transition effect between them.
